Fur Brimmed Hat
Items:
Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn
Starbella Arctic Yarn
44 or 36 peg loom
Scissors
Looming Hook
Crafters Needle
Crochet Hook
Terms:
CO: Cast On
EW: E-Wrap
COF: Cast Off
Note: I took the Starbella yarn and cut the netting down to
where there is only 1 loop above the trim, it is only 7.5 yards so it isn't
that bad to cut the chuck of netting off. Cut where the yellow marks are.
Hat: 44 or 36 peg loom: Circular:
EWCO 44 or 36 pegs
Row 1-20: EW
Row 21: Divide the loom into 4 sections. 44 peg short rows:

D1EW1: EW3: D1D1EW1 Repeat in the next 4 sections.
36 peg short rows: EW9: D1EW1, EW5, D1EW1: EW7: D1EW1, EW3,
D1EW1: EW5: D1EW1, EW1, D1EW1: EW3: D1D1EW1 Repeat in the next 4 sections. Sew the 4 sections together to create the crown of the hat.
Follow the video below for the decrease section as to what you are doing.
Brim: 44 or 36 peg loom: Circular:
Place original cast on loops back on the pegs then work the
startbella yarn like a ruffle scarf but your ruffle section will be inside the
loom rather than outside. Just toss the loops over until you use up all the 7.5
yards. Then Loosely Cast Off your hat. Your done. You don't need to really hide
anything because of how the ruffles bunch up at the base when you wear it.
Follow the video below to show how to add your cast on loops back onto the pegs.
This video generally shows how to go about working the fur yarn on your loom, but instead of working flat your are working circular which is pretty easy. Cast off with a loose cast off.
