How to make Long Fingerless Gloves


Long Fingerless Gloves

24 Peg Circular Loom 
1 Skein of Yarn
1 Looming Hook
1 Crochet Hook

P-Purl
K-Knit (Toss Over Knit)
S- Skip
E- E-wrap
MB- Move loop Back one peg
TO- Toss bottom loop over top
PYO- Place yarn over the empty peg

Creating a hole
Skip peg 1, e-wrap peg 2, take loop from peg 2 place it on peg 1, toss bottom loop over, knit peg 1, pass yarn over the front of the empty peg, then purl or knit 2.

Base of Glove (Work Circular)
Cast on with an e-wrap
Row 1: Knit 24
Row 2-4: Purl 24
Row 5: S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, P3 Repeat to finish row.
Row 6-8: Purl 24
Arm of Glove
Row 9:S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, K2 Repeat to finish row
Row 10-11: Knit 24
Row 12- 39:  Repeat rows 9-11 Nine more times
Wrist of Glove
Row 40: K8, *S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, K2** Repeat 2 more times from *to**, K4
Row 41-42: K24
Row 43-52: Repeat rows 40-42 Three more times
Thumb of Glove (Work Flat)
Right Side
Row 53: K7 stop reverse direction
Row 54: K12, *S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, K2** Repeat 2 more times from *to**reverse direction
Row 55-56: Knit 24 reverse direction at the end of each row
Row 57: K1, *S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, K2** Repeat 2 more times from *to**, K10 reverse direction
Row 58-59: Knit 24 reverse direction at the end of each row
Row 60-62: Repeat rows 54-56
Left Side
Row 53: K8, *S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, K2** Repeat 2 more times from *to** accept when you get to the last peg on the 2nd time K1 instead of 2 then reverse direction
Row 54-55: Knit 24 reverse direction at the end of each row
Row 56: *S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, K2** Repeat 2 more times from *to** K12 reverse direction
Rows 57-58: Knit 24 reverse direction at the end of each row
Rows 59-61: Repeat rows 53-55
Top of Glove (Work Circular)
Rows 63: K1, *S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, K2** Repeat 2 more times from *to**, K10
Row 64-65: Knit 24
Row 66-67: Purl 24
Row 68: S1, E1, MB1, TO, K1, PYO, P3 Repeat to finish row
Row 69-70: Purl 24
 Cast off using the crochet hook.

  1. I was following this blog post and it didn't come out right. Then I noticed that it was because when you are knitting the right and left, it doesn't tell you to keep reversing like your video does. Please correct this so that others don't have this problem. thank you.

  2. Sorry it didn't work, the reason I didn't place reverse in there but once is you weren't doing the whole row, after that you work flat rather than circular. I only put it in parenthesis at the top to work flat and then when you get to the top of the glove to work circular again. But I will make sure I go in and make it clearer that way no one wastes anytime. Thank you for your comment, it lets me know when to make adjustments. :-)

  4. U need to make it clearer in the written pattern where the new starting point actually is for the left side please re write it so it matches with the video

  5. Also in your written pattern u say knit 12 not 13 so u need to re write this whole pattern so that the written version matches exactly the way the video explains other wise it doesnt work
