How to Loom Knit a Dinosaur






Dinosaur

Items:
15 or 12 peg loom
bulky yarn size 5 or 6
polyfil
looming hook
crafters needle
crochet hook
buttons or rhinestones for eyes

Terms:
CO: Cast On
DSCO: Draw String Cast On
EW: E-Wrap
WT: Wrap and Turn
D: Decrease
ID: Internal Decrease
COF: Cast Off

Instructions for 15 peg 1st then 12 peg 2nd

Head: 15 pegs: Flat:
DSCO 15 pegs
Row 1-7: EW
Row 8: ID 15 to 8 pegs
Row 9-11: EW
COF

Sew up snout like doing a duck snout. Close up back of head leaving opening on bottom to stuff and sew on.

Neck: 8 Pegs: Flat:

Row 1-4: EW
Row 5: EW7, WT, EW6, WT, EW5, WT, EW4, WT, EW5, EW6, EW7, EW8
Row 6-12: EW

Body: 15 pegs: Cicular:
EW CO 15 pegs
Row 1-2: EW
Row 3: (Leg: EW4 pegs 15 rows, Bring outer original loops back) Repeat leg in next 4 pegs, EW7
Row 4-6: EW
Row 7-10: Repeat rows 3-6
Row 11: EW4 (start working flat) EW15
Row 12: D1 EW1, EW11, D1 EW1 (13)
Row 13: D1 EW1, EW9, D1 EW1 (11
Row 14: D1 EW1, EW7, D1 EW1 (9)

Sew up tail and legs, stuff. Then line base of neck up with bottom. This should line up with the legs. Gather the top half of the body to close, then sew up neck. Stuff neck. Sew on head. Glue on sew in eyes on the side base of the snout on the head.

How to Loom Knit a Summer Hat








Summer Hat

Supplies:
36 peg loom (you can use 44 peg CinDwood Loom to do this project as well)
Red Heart Yarn Worsted doubled up strands
Looming Hook
Iron
Crafters Needle
Paint Brush
Mod Podge
Water
Flour
Bowl
Pins
Large Foam Pad
Half Sphere Flower Arrangement Foam

Terms:
CO: Cast On
EW: E-Wrap
P: Purl
D: Decrease
YO: Yarn Over
Sk: Skip
COF: Cast Off
DSCOF: Draw String Cast Off

Hat: 36 pegs: Circular:
EW CO 36 pegs Circular
Row 1: EW
Row 2: P
Row 3-5: EW1 P1 all the way around.
Row 6: P
Row 7: EW
Row 8: **D1 toss bottom loop over, YO1, EW1** Repeat 18x (Note: you can go in and do the Decrease and toss the bottom loops over, then go back and basically EW 36 pegs, but toss every peg that has 2 loops on it.)
Row 9-10: EW
Repeat rows 8-10 2x
Decrease by every other peg tossing bottom loop over, DSCOF.

Brim: 15 pegs: Flat
EWCO 15 pegs Flat
Row 1-7: EW
Row 8: Sk1, EW7, EW8, Sk1, EW8, EW9, Sk1, EW9, EW10, Sk1, EW10, EW11, Sk1, EW11, EW12, Sk1, EW12, EW13, Sk1, EW13, EW14, Sk1, EW14
Repeat rows 1-8 7 more times.
COF Sew ends together sew, sew brim to hat. Mod Podge entire hat to stiff. Note this stiffening process will take 4 to 5 days to completely dry and stiffen.
