How to loom a Netted Hat



Netted Hat   

Supplies:
36 peg loom
looming hook
crafters needle
2 skeins of yarn (doubel strands)

Terms:
EW: E-Wrap
CO: Cast On
P:Purl
D: Decrease
YO: Yarn Over
DSCOF: Draw String Cast Off

Work circular
EW CO 36 pegs
Row1: EW36
Row2: P36
Row3-7:P1 EW1 repeat 18x Creating a ribbing pattern
Row8: P36
Row9: EW36
Row10: **D1 toss bottom loop over, YO1, EW1** Repeat 18x (Note: you can go in and do the Decrease and toss the bottom loops over, then go back and basically EW 36 pegs, but toss every peg that has 2 loops on it.)
Row11-12: EW36
Repeat rows 10-12, 4 more times.
Decrease every other pegg tossing bottom loop over and DSCOF. Close off top and then hide your original tail.
Your Done!!

How to Loom a Fox



Fox Pattern

Items:
24 peg loom
looming hook
crafters needle
crochet hook
orange, white, and black yarn (doubled)
2 buttons or black beads

Terms:
CO:Cast On
EW:E-Wrap
K:Knit
P:Purl
D: Decrease
I: Increase
ID: Internal Decrease
COF:Cast Off
DSCOF: Draw String Cast Off

Head: Working Flat
Start with orange yarn
EW CO 24 pegs
Row 1-9: K 24 pegs
Row 10: K6, (Start Ear: Working between the next 5 pegs: K5 pegs 4 rows, Change to black K5 pegs 1 row, K3 pegs 3 rows, K1 peg 2 rows, Change to white, K1 peg 2 rows, K3 pegs 3 rows, K5 pegs 5 rows, change back to orange K5 pegs) K2 (work next ear repeating the ear you just did again) K6
Row 11-16: K 24 pegs
Row 17: ID from 24 to 12 pegs
Row 18-21: K12 pegs
Row 22-24: Change to white K12
Row 25: Change to black K12
DSCOF
Sew up snout, ears, and draw string your cast on to close up back of head. Stuff.

Body: Working Flat
Start with white yarn
EW CO 8 pegs then switch to orange and then EW CO 16 (Note keep both colors to allow a change in color from stomach to back of body)
Row 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15: Orange K16 pegs, White K8 Pegs
Row 2,4,6,8,10,12,14: White K8 pegs, Orange K16 pegs
Start working circular
Row 16: Orange K24 pegs
Row 17: P24 pegs
Row 18-22: K 24 pegs
Decrease every other peg from 24 to 12 pegs DSCOF
Sew up the one side of the body and stuff.

Leg 1: Make 2: Work Flat
Start with black yarn
EW CO 16 pegs
Row 1-4: K16 pegs
Row 5: D1, K13, D1, K1 (14 pegs)
Row 6: D1, K11, D1, K1 (12 Pegs)
Row 7-8: K12 pegs
Row 9,11,13,15: Orange K6 pegs, White K6 pegs
Row 10,12,14,16: White K6 pegs, Orange K 6 pegs
CO
Sew up bottom and front, and stuff.

Leg 2: Make 2: Work Flat
Start with black yarn
EW CO 16 pegs
Row 1-4: K16 pegs
Row 5: D1, K13, D1, K1 (14 pegs)
Row 6: D1, K11, D1, K1 (12 Pegs)
Row 7-8: K12 pegs
Row 9,11,13,15: White K6 pegs, Orange K6 pegs
Row 10,12,14,16: Orange K6 pegs, Whtie K6 pegs

Sew up bottom and front, and stuff.

Tail: Work Flat
Start with orange
EW CO 12 pegs
Row 1-10: K 12 pegs
Row 11: I1 peg, K 12 pegs, I1 peg (14 pegs)
Row 12-14: K 14 pegs
Row 15: I1 peg, K14 pegs, I1 peg (16 pegs)
Row 16-18: K 16 pegs
Row 19: I1 peg, K16 pegs, I1 peg (18 pegs)
Row 20-21: K 18 pegs
Change to white
Row 22-25: K 18 pegs
Row 26: D1, K15, D1, K1 (16 pegs)
Row 27: D1, K13, D1, K1 (14 pegs)
Row 28: D1, K11, D1, K1 (12 pegs)
DSCOF
Sew up tail and stuff.

Assembling
Sew upper legs white facing in to the white of the body, at the very top of the body
Sew bottom legs with the sewn seam flat in the center and sew white part of the leg with white part of body and orange part of leg with orange part of body. Easy guide, sew the legs along the purled line.
Sew on head lining ears up with outer bottom legs and snout center front
Sew on tail center back bottom on purled line, with the curve of the tail curling around the bottom of the body.
Hot glue or sew on eyes.

Head: Working Flat
DSCO 12 pegs
Row1-5: K
Row6: Knit 3, work ear ( K2 pegs, 5 rows) K 1, work other ear (K2 pegs, 5 rows) K3
Row7-9: K
Row 10: ID 12 to 6 pegs
Row 11-13: K
DSCOF
Sew up snout, ears, and close up back of head. Stuff

Body: Working Circular
DSCO 12 pegs
Row 1-10: K
Row 11: P
Row 12-13: K
Row 14: Decrease by every other peg
DSCOF
Close up bottom and stuff

Arms: Working Flat
EW CO 6 pegs (you can DSCO if you don't feel comfortable tightening CO)
Row 1-5: K
DSCOF
Close sew up side, tighten CO. Stuff
Make 2

Legs: Working Flat
EW CO 10 pegs ( Again you can do the same as you did the arm)
Row1-2: K
Row 3: D1, K7, D1, K1
Row 4: D1, K3, D1, K1
Row 5-9: K
COF
Sew up bottom and front. Tighten Cast On. Stuff
Make 2

Sew legs along the purled line, then sew the arms on at the very top of the body lined up with the outer edge of the legs. Sew on the head to line up ears with the arms. Hot glue on eyes.
